1955 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia – Type 14

August, 2011 § Leave a comment

Take a Type 1 Beetle and give it to a famous Italian automobile design company: Ghia. And give it to a german coachbuilder to built it…. u will get this really nice VW Karmann Ghia.

“The Worlds Slowest Sportscar’ came from Wilheim Karmann’s desire to manufacture a VW Beetle-based sports car. VW was unaware of the project’s existence until the day the first prototype was revealed to them, the same day Heinz Nordoff of VW Gmbh gave the go ahead to evaluate the coupe which, at that time, didn’t even have a name.

I post to u some nice old USA’s advertisement.
