1970 Citröen SM

December, 2012 § 1 Comment

A very special car, result of mixing two soul-filled brands:  Citroën and Maserati.   Innovation and design from the french brand and a V6 heart from Italy.

Citroën purchased Maserati in 1968, that makes it possible this car designed by Robert Opron. The SM was incredibly advanced for its time: aluminum body, world’s first variable-assist power steering system, an oil-based hydropneumatic system. Also six headlights behind a beautiful glass cover, two of which turned with the steering wheel, and six could pivot up and down depending on rear ride height.
