1947 Bentley Mark VI Coachworks By Franay

February, 2014 § Leave a comment

This car doesn’t look like a Bentley because it has bodywork by the French firm of Franay. Swooping fenders, silver waves… is very much in the French style of the time, a little bit Bugatti-esque. First shown at the 1947 Paris Auto Show the Franay-Bentley received world-wide acclaim, it went on to win both the 1947 and 1948 Concours d’Elegance and has won over 50 awards since.

A little bit dramatic, but deserves to be looked at.
