1960 Plymouth XNR

December, 2014 § Leave a comment

A bold and risky asymmetrical design by Virgil Exner for Plymouth. America’s postwar thinks that futuristic cars will be exuberants and inspired by jet aircraft and rockets. A little bit like Flash Gordon comics.

Built in Carrozzeria Ghia in Italy, this car was only a concept, the project never got the green light. The car was bought by a series of owners, including Shah of Iran, disappeared for some years, and rediscovered in Beirut on 80’s. Now it’s full restored so we can enjoyed.
