1964 Alfa Romeo TZ Coupe

One of the most desirable Alfas, TZs are considered as Alfa Romeo’s version of Ferrari’s GTO. Only about 112 were built until 1967.

A gorgeous aluminium Zagato coachwork that competed against Ferrari 250 GTOs, Shelby Cobras, and Porsche 904s.

I´ve just realized that gorgeous car has no post for one of the most beatiful cars created in 2000, the 8C Spider.   We have to say thanks to Mr. Wolfgang Egger for designing this car taking some styling cues from 30´s and 40´s Alfa Romeo models.

Enjoy the pics in white…

2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

Alfa has presented the Spider versión of 4C,  as gorgeous as that, but with a new front lights (you can avoid the ugly fly/spyder styled eyes).

A really nice design, it´s good to have Alfa Romeo on the road again, after 2007 8C they keep creating new gorgeous designs.

1970 Alfa Romeo Montreal

Presented in 1960 as a concept car, this Alfa was stylistically different from previous Alfa.  It’s distinguished by its front headlights, a hood duct and nonfunctional slats behind the doors. In a certain way it resembles Lamborghini Miura ‘cos both of them were designed by Marcello Gandini (also Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Diablo or Countach!)

2012 Carrozzeria disco volante concept

This is the modern version of the 1950′s Alfa Romeo Disco Volante in its 60th anniversary.

A really original design for a modern car, I’m posting pics of the new and the original, so u can compare.

The only thing I don’t like in this car, It’s a kind of disguised 2008 Alfa Romero 8C, and… I’m sorry but I prefer to see the original one.

1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spider

Another special car from Alfa Romeo, often exploring modernity and futurism in automobile design. This car is very important in Alfa’s history, so it inspired a bronze sculpture to celebrate 100th anniversary of the brand.

Look at this 50’s car… ¿Don’t you think that nowadays designers are too much conservative?

1963-2011 Alfa Romeo TZ, TZ2 and TZ3

A few beautiful pics with the four Alfa Romeo TZ  by Zagato. The 1963 TZ, 1965 TZ2 and finally the recents 2010 Tz3 Corsa and 2011 TZ3 stradale (road version of Corsa). The modern Tz3 are based on a Dodge Viper ACR.

Enjoy looking for the resemblances (even in the wheel rims, kamm tail, rear glass, etc ) and the differences.

The Kamm Tail (“Coda Tronca” in italian) is the shape of the rear, also you can see this design in very specials cars like Ferrari 250 GTO and the Shelby Cobra Daytona.    The name came from Wunibald Kamm a german automobile designer and aerodynamicist who in summer of 1938, tested a  prototype (K-3)  based on the chassis of BMW 328. It had a drag coefficient of only 0.25 compared to the  BMW 328 Touring Mille Miglia Coupe (1940) with coefficient 0.35, and most of today’s cars rate above 30.  Even the The Prius follows this design, so, it rates 0.25.  A pick-up could rate about almost 0.45.

Where Am I?
